The idea that I exist I think is fundamentally entwined with the existence of God, only God being ‘bigger’ see’s me as I am..and his existence breaks the ‘unbearable lightness’ that would otherwise be present in such a life.

Knowing yourself can only be fulfilled in the knowing of yourself in the eyes of someone else. Everything is transitory apart from God, so to know yourself you must first know God and that is in itself liberation from the entropy of this absurd existence. We’re all slaves to something, being a slave to transcendental meaning is the only true liberation you’ll ever experience. It’s yours if you want it.

All religion is philosophy, abstract notions pulled out of the air based on inference. The difference I would say with Christianity is that it makes a claim that it is instead based on revealation, how can you ever truly know an authors intention unless you encounter the author himself? Christ the claim goes was the author in a grand narrative, and the author has given us all narratives to which to live by if we so wish. Buddhists say the heart is addicting to the craving of things.. I would say yes, this is because we all crave Christ deep down.
